Girl Scouts is the girl-centered community where girls have a chance to explore ideas, build relationships, and practice making the world a better place. A Girl Scout starts with her own curiosity and follows a fun and fact-filled journey toward courage, confidence, and character. Girl Scouts become leaders by doing the things they love!

Girl Scout programs encourage girls to explore science, technology, engineering and math. Girls also learn to love fitness and health, and to develop a connection to the natural world, fostering a lifelong commitment to the environment. We know what happens when girls connect their talents with the world around them: they become our co-workers, neighbors, friends and partners, putting to use the leadership, strong values, and social conscience they learn through scouting. 

Donors support Girl Scouts by making annual contributions and in-kind gifts, sponsoring events and programs, and by remembering the Girls Scouts in their charitable and financial planning. While a girl pays just $12 in annual dues, the Arizona Cactus-Pine Council invests more than $300 to provide her with a full year of high quality programs. We depend on contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners to make Girl Scouting affordable to every girl, regardless of her family income. Your gifts support the cost of membership, programs, camp, volunteer training, and so much more.

Girl Scouts hold a place in our hearts, and they also have a positive impact in our region. Incorporated in 1940, Girl Scouts—Arizona Cactus-Pine Council serves the northern two-thirds of Arizona and portions of the Navajo Nation. We operate four camps, produce four annual leadership events, and engage girls through dozens of programs and community partnerships. Last year we reached more than 24,000 girls ages 5-17 and nearly 10,000 adult volunteers.
