How to Choose a Session
With four different camps and tons of different programs, how will you pick the one that is right for you? Here are a few things to consider when choosing a session:

Which Camp?
Each of our four camps is unique and offers different types of activities. Start by taking a few minutes to virtually visit "Our Camps" on the website and see what each camp has to offer.

This spring each of our camps will also be hosting TWO Open Houses which is a great way for you and your family to see what camp will be like, or you can join us for our annual Taste of Camp Carnival which highlights each camp in one convenient valley location.

Type of Program
Although resident and day camp are the most common types of summer camp program, we also have some really cool weekend, troop, and family programs happening at our camps during the summer months.

Session Activities
Visit the our summer camp programs page  to see what each session is about. Sessions may offer a little of everything the camp has to offer or may focus on a specific activity. Some sessions require trips out of camp and a few sessions are for campers with previous experience. Take time to read the descriptions. Maybe you want to do something you have done before or maybe you want to try something new! The great thing about Girl Scout camp is that it’s perfect place to try a new activity.

Family camp and Troop Programs
Not sure if your camper is ready to go on her own?  check out a Mom and Me or Dad and Me session.  We also have family camp and troop camp programs!

Dates
Do you have a family vacation planned? Are you signed up for other summer activities? Make sure to consider when you can go to camp, some sessions are only offered specific weeks.

Length
We have sessions ranging from 3 days to 2 weeks. If you are worried about being away from home start with a shorter session and work your way up as you get more comfortable.  If you really love camp and want to get into more advanced activities come for a longer session.

Cost
You might not be worried about the price tag, but it probably matters to the person who is paying. If your parent or guardian says the session you want to attend is too expensive remind them that we offer scholarships and camperships and tell them to go here to learn more!
